Molly Smith, known for her appearance on 'Love Island All Stars,' has revealed she lives with a hereditary essential tremor, a condition that causes involuntary shaking. Smith, 31, expressed concern that her tremor may intensify due to the heightened nerves she anticipates on her upcoming wedding day. She is set to marry fiancé Tom Clare this summer, two years after meeting on the reality television show.

Smith discussed her condition on their joint podcast, "NearlyWeds," explaining that the tremor is hereditary and affects both her and her father. "We shake really bad, it's hereditary, we have an essential tremor and we do shake really bad," she stated. "So we're both going to be going [shakes] because when I get more nervous and anxious it gets worse."

She recalled on 'Love Island' viewers commenting on her shaking, noting that her symptoms worsen significantly with anxiety. Smith anticipates a similar experience during her walk down the aisle, with her father, who also has the condition, offering support. "My dad is the same so he's going to be trying to hold me and I'll be clinging to him and we're both going to be like this [shakes] walking down the aisle. Can you imagine?"

An essential tremor is described as a common, often inherited neurological disorder that leads to rhythmic shaking. It primarily impacts the hands and arms, particularly during movement, and can also affect the head, voice, or legs. Symptoms can be exacerbated by age, stress, or caffeine consumption but typically subside during sleep. The Mayo Clinic defines it as a nervous system condition causing uncontrollable, rhythmic shaking, most commonly in the hands, which can worsen over time but is not typically considered dangerous. It is distinct from Parkinson's disease, though sometimes confused with it, and is most prevalent in individuals aged 40 and older.

The reality star recently celebrated her hen do in Ibiza, sharing photos of herself in bridal-themed attire. Meanwhile, her fiancé Tom Clare had his stag party in Las Vegas. The couple met on 'Love Island All Stars' in 2024 and won the series. Smith was previously on the winter edition of 'Love Island' in 2020, where she met ex-boyfriend Callum. She and Clare have secured several post-show endorsements and are planning to move in together.
