Supermodel Molly Sims, 53, has voiced criticism of Hollywood figures who she believes are dishonest about the methods used to maintain their appearances, contrasting this with a growing openness in some circles.

During a recent interview with Us Weekly, Sims stated that while some models in her early career shared candid advice about procedures like "shots in the a**" or extreme diets, many in Hollywood would deceptively attribute their looks to simple self-care. "Hollywood people would say, 'I just drink a lot of water, and I slept eight hours.' I’m like, 'No, you f**king didn’t,'" Sims remarked.

However, Sims noted a shift towards greater transparency, citing a recent dinner where conversations focused on cosmetic procedures such as "facelifts," "the upper lip, the lower," and "CO2" treatments. She suggested this candor offers a more realistic perspective for women outside the industry, indicating that achieving certain aesthetic results involves more than just hydration and rest.

Sims also discussed her personal evolution in embracing aging, particularly her shift away from the goal of being "skinny." "I’m not trying to look like I’m 20, which I think makes a huge difference. I’m just trying to look the best I can at every age," she explained. Her focus has changed from achieving a slender physique to prioritizing health, stating, "I don’t want to be skinny; I want to be healthy. That’s a big mind shift. I don’t want to be skinny-fat."

This new approach involves a more rigorous fitness routine, including HIIT, weightlifting, Pilates, and Tracy Anderson methods, a departure from her earlier habits. Sims also identified well-tailored clothing as a significant factor in her current confidence, regardless of her size.

Despite her evolving perspective, Sims acknowledged that insecurities can persist. She mentioned specific hang-ups about her broad shoulders and arms, stemming from past comments about being "too muscular."

The model's remarks come several months after she appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit show during Miami Swim Week, showcasing her figure in various swimwear. She was also featured in the May 2026 issue of SI Swimsuit, with photos taken in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
