Missé Beqiri, ex-partner of the late Jake Hall and mother of their daughter River, made her first public appearance since Hall's death at Wimbledon on Tuesday. The model, 39, attended the second day of the event at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, shortly after discussing their relationship and Hall's passing on a podcast.
Beqiri, who stars on The Real Housewives Of Cheshire, shared her thoughts on her relationship with Hall, the TOWIE star who died last month at age 35. He sustained fatal injuries after an incident involving a glass door at a villa in Mallorca. In a recent interview on Paul C. Brunson's podcast, Beqiri questioned whether Hall would still be alive if they had not separated in 2021.
She described their relationship as having both intense highs and lows, stating, "We had a very, we had some really good moments, but we also had some very dark moments together." Beqiri also reflected on their past engagement in May 2018 and a restraining order Hall received later that year. Despite the complexities, she noted that they later managed to co-parent successfully.
Beqiri revealed that she was in Mallorca at the same time Hall was found deceased, having relocated from Ibiza due to losing her passport. She recounted receiving a call from Hall's father with the news of his death, initially fearing something had happened to their daughter. "The way he said Jake's name, I was like, he's in a hospital, he's in jail. Like the last thought for me was that he was gone… And he was like, 'he's dead'," Beqiri shared. She admitted to blaming herself and focusing on protecting their daughter, River.
Recalling the moment she had to tell their eight-year-old daughter about her father's death, Beqiri described it as the "worst thing she's ever had to do." She also called the news of his death the "worst phone call of her life," experiencing shock and memory loss following the conversation. River is now receiving therapy to process the loss.
This loss is particularly difficult for Beqiri, who also lost her brother, Flamur Beqiri, seven years ago. He was fatally shot on Christmas Eve in 2019. Beqiri expressed the recurring pain of such a tragedy, saying, "How is this happening to me again?"
On Father's Day, Beqiri paid tribute to both Hall and her brother, sharing a photo of them together and expressing gratitude for her family. She also shared a video of herself, Hall, and River. Hall gained prominence on TOWIE in 2015 and was a cast member for several seasons. His family has established The Choose Everything Foundation in his memory, with proceeds directed towards the foundation and his daughter.
Beqiri attended Wimbledon dressed in a yellow tweed dress, accompanied by Lady Eliza Spencer, Lady Amelia Spencer, and Greg Mallett. The group posed for photos before watching a match.
