Model Caprice Bourret Claims She Fled London Due to Crime Spike
The model cited two murders outside her home and general safety concerns as reasons for relocating her family to Ibiza.
Model Caprice Bourret has stated that she relocated her family from London to Ibiza due to rising crime rates in the British capital. Bourret, who now produces and stars in Christmas romantic comedies, told Richard Eden that she felt London had become unsafe.
Bourret described two murders that occurred directly outside her London home as a significant factor in her decision. She recounted that the timing of one victim's death, whose first name was also Ty, like her husband Ty Comfort, was a catalyst for their move. "I had to get out of London because it wasn’t safe," Bourret said. "There were two murders outside of my house, literally on my doorstep."
In August, Bourret, 54, and her husband sold their £12 million, six-bedroom mansion in west London. They subsequently moved to Ibiza with their two sons, Jax and Jett, aged 13.
Bourret, who is Jewish, also mentioned past concerns about anti-Semitic attacks, leading her to conceal traditional Jewish symbols. She contrasted this experience with her current situation in Ibiza, which she described as "so safe." She noted that her sons have more freedom to travel independently on their scooters there, alleviating her parental concerns.
