The betting analyst known as 'Stitches' took an unusual day off from making wagers on Wednesday, following a loss incurred from betting on the National League in the MLB All-Star Game. The American League defeated the National League 4-0 in the midsummer classic.

The National League managed only three hits during the game. The Phillies' Cristopher Sánchez, who started for the NL, gave up three runs. Stitches, who has been handicapping baseball for the New York Post since 2019, stated that the loss brought his season's betting record to -269 'rayfosses.'

Prior to the All-Star Game, Stitches had also incurred losses from betting on the Home Run Derby. The analyst has a history of versatile betting, having previously won the Post's NFL Best Bet crown. Despite his recent losses, the analyst has reportedly finished in the black twice during his tenure handicapping baseball for the publication.
