Missouri Substitute Teacher Loses Job After School District Discovers OnlyFans Account
A teacher in Missouri stated she was terminated for maintaining an OnlyFans profile, citing low teacher pay as a contributing factor.
A substitute teacher in Missouri has been dismissed from her position after the Parkway School District became aware of her OnlyFans account, which she used to supplement her income. Sheena Sittner, 42, told KTVI that she was let go by Kelly Education, the contractor that employed her.
Sittner stated that her online presence had been active for over two years and expressed surprise that it was discovered now. She indicated that she was aware that anything posted online could remain permanently accessible. "I didn’t, however, think that I would be completely stripped away from being at my kid’s school," she said.
The dismissal notice from Kelly Education, which Sittner shared, stated she was suspended pending termination and instructed her to refrain from contacting any schools or districts. This also prevented her from volunteering at her child's school.
"It’s like all of a sudden I’ve done something so wrong and sinful that I’m not even allowed to volunteer at his school," Sittner stated. "I can find another job. I can handle the backlash and the criticism, but when it affects my child or my children, that’s where I draw the line."
Parkway Schools, however, clarified to the outlet that Sittner is still permitted to volunteer at her child's school, provided she completes a background check and mandatory online safety training. Kelly Education also issued a statement emphasizing that their actions do not limit a parent's right to participate in their child's education.
Sittner criticized the education system, suggesting that inadequate teacher salaries necessitate alternative income streams for educators. "If teachers were paid better, women wouldn’t have to resort to online content creation," she told KTVI. "Sex sells."
According to her Facebook profile, Sittner stopped working for Parkway Schools on September 8. Her OnlyFans link was present in her social media bio, though the date she added it is not clear. Sittner maintained that her personal and professional lives have always been separate.
