Dominick Bianchi, a 35-year-old newlywed who went missing last week in upstate New York, has been found dead in a wooded area, local police confirmed. Bianchi was last seen Tuesday morning at his home in East Greenbush, a town south of Albany. He reportedly left behind his cellphone, wallet, and car.

The East Greenbush Police Department issued a statement extending condolences to Bianchi's family and loved ones. "Our thoughts are with them as they navigate this incredibly difficult time," Detective Sergeant Michael Guadagnino said.

Bianchi's wife, Julianna Zyra, whom he married several months prior, had made a public plea for his return. She indicated that Bianchi had been struggling with his mental health and also had type 1 diabetes. Concerns were raised by family members that he may not have had his insulin with him.

Police had requested assistance from the public in the search, asking residents to check their properties and surveillance cameras for any signs of Bianchi. Authorities expressed gratitude for the community's help.

A cause of death has not yet been announced.
