Missé Beqiri, the ex-partner of the late Jake Hall, has spoken out about feeling "haunted" by their past relationship following his death. Hall, a former star of "The Only Way Is Essex" (TOWIE), died last month at the age of 35 from fatal injuries sustained from smashing his head through a glass door at a villa in Mallorca.

In an interview on Paul C. Brunson's "We Need To Talk" podcast, Beqiri, 39, reflected on their relationship, questioning if Hall would still be alive had they not separated. The couple, who share an eight-year-old daughter named River, were previously engaged in May 2018. However, later that year, a restraining order was issued to Hall by Westminster Magistrates' Court after a dispute. While the specific cause for the order was not detailed, Hall's barrister stated that no physical violence had occurred and that Hall agreed a "cooling off period" might help "keep the peace."

Despite their past unrest, Beqiri described their relationship as having been "very, very much in love" with "some really good moments" but also "very dark moments." She explained, "It was fire with fire, you know, and I think there was, you know, a lot of times that things were said and done that purposely wasn't meant to be said and done."

Beqiri also revealed a poignant coincidence: she was unknowingly in Mallorca at the same time Hall was found dead. She had been in Ibiza for a modeling job but had to relocate to Mallorca after losing her passport. While attempting to arrange travel back to England, she received a call from Hall's father informing her of his death. "The last thought for me was that he was gone… And he was like, 'he's dead.' I mean, I went into total panic mode," Beqiri recounted. She expressed a wish that Hall had reached out to her, saying, "I just wish he called me. I just wish you did something. But he didn't know I was there either. He didn't know I was there."

Describing the experience of informing their daughter River about her father's death, Beqiri called it the "worst thing she's ever had to do." She recalled the shock of receiving the call, stating, "That was the worst phone call I've ever had in my life." She focused on protecting River, who is now receiving therapy to process the loss. This is not the first profound loss Beqiri has experienced; her brother, Flamur Beqiri, was fatally shot in 2019.

Hall, who first appeared on TOWIE in 2015, had an "unconventional" funeral that included a celebration of his life, featuring an exhibition of his paintings and tributes from friends. His family plans to launch The Choose Everything Foundation in his memory, with proceeds directed towards the foundation and his daughter River.
