Supermodel Miranda Kerr has shared details of her highly specific diet, which includes consuming venison for breakfast and avoiding eggs, seed oils, dairy, and wheat. Kerr explained her food philosophy, stating that she views food as medicine, a perspective she adopted after being diagnosed with proctitis, a form of irritable bowel syndrome, during her second pregnancy.
Kerr, who has four children, including Flynn with ex-husband Orlando Bloom and Hart, Myles, and Pierre with husband Evan Spiegel, emphasized that her focus is on maintaining vitality and energy rather than solely on physical appearance. She shared her morning routine, which begins with a shot of Noni juice, a beverage she has consumed for 30 years, followed by marshmallow tea for gut health, a small portion of coconut yogurt with honey, and a bite of banana. This precedes her coffee, which she prepares with mold and lead-free beans, coconut milk, and maple syrup.
Her protein intake primarily consists of meats such as venison, bison, lamb, and turkey, which she chooses because they are not mass-produced. While she enjoys some fruits like bananas and mangoes, she notes she is not a significant fruit consumer. Kerr also expressed a preference for cooking with coconut oil or avocado oil, completely avoiding seed oils. She occasionally uses tallow, particularly for her children, and attempts to have them eat sourdough bread.
Kerr also mentioned including some salmon in her diet but in moderation due to mercury content. She previously consumed large amounts of sushi but no longer does so because of the risk of parasites. Caviar is an exception, which she enjoys without concern. For sweets, she opts for carob, preparing carob hot chocolate with coconut milk and maple syrup.
Kerr shared that she also prioritizes meditation as a non-negotiable practice for stress relief, likening it to her form of exercise given her busy schedule. She believes in finding personal strategies that promote well-being and de-stress, whether it's meditation, exercise, or other activities like dance parties with her children.
