Actress Minnie Driver announced she is recovering in London after surviving a severe car accident in France that left her with a sprained neck. Driver shared the details of the incident in an Instagram video, stating that she and a friend were T-boned by another vehicle that failed to stop at an intersection on a country road.

"We somehow walked out of it. Well, we didn't walk out of it; we crawled out of it. But we did get out of it alive," Driver said in the video, filmed while she was wearing a neck brace. She emphasized that the crash was not their fault and described the impact as being hit at speed by a car that ran a stop sign.

Driver credited the safety features of the Kia EV2 they were driving for saving their lives. "The 360 airbags are what saved our lives," she stated, expressing profound gratitude for being alive. "I want to celebrate that car. You know, I'm Minnie Driver, pun intended. I need to celebrate the car that saved us, because we've got families and people who love us, and I am so grateful to be alive."

She specifically thanked the automaker, saying, "So, Kia, you are a baller car company. You're amazing, and thanks very much from me and my mate Ben." Celebrity friends, including Naomi Watts and Chelsea Handler, offered messages of support in the comments of her post.
