Millie Mackintosh Shares Cryptic Post After Ex Hugo Taylor Discusses Marriage Split

Millie Mackintosh shared an Instagram post featuring a quote about avoiding bitterness just hours after her ex-husband, Hugo Taylor, publicly addressed their marriage split. The quote, which Mackintosh shared, stated, "I believe the most beautiful people are those who never let huge challenges turn their hearts bitter. They learned, made adjustments, created healthy boundaries, let go of the pain, and kept walking forward with kindness and gratitude."

Taylor, 40, had earlier broken his silence on the separation, admitting that the past year had "brought considerable sadness." He expressed gratitude for their two daughters, Sienna, six, and Aurelia, four, and emphasized his commitment to maintaining stability for them during this period of "significant change." He wrote, "While the past year has brought considerable sadness, I remain grateful for what matters most in my life. We share two wonderful young daughters, and my responsibility is to be the best father I can be, continuing to give them the love, security and consistency they deserve."

The former "Made In Chelsea" stars, who were married for seven years, officially filed for divorce in February. Their daughters now divide their time between their parents' separate homes.

In his statement, Taylor also shared a quote from J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Fellowship of the Ring": "All that is gold does not glitter. Not all those who wander are lost. The old that is strong does not wither. Deep roots are not reached by the frost." This quote intentionally reverses the traditional proverb, "All that glitters is not gold," which suggests that attractive things can be deceptive.

Mackintosh, 37, has reportedly moved on with new boyfriend Matthew Tanner, 38. The couple was recently photographed together, and Mackintosh has since made their relationship Instagram official. Tanner, a Global Solutions Director and Programme Director at Robert Walters Consultancy, is also known for his fitness and endurance racing pursuits.

Mackintosh and Taylor's relationship was a prominent part of their time on "Made In Chelsea," where they first met and dated in 2011. Their initial relationship ended after six months due to an infidelity scandal, leading to a public confrontation. After parting ways, Mackintosh left the show in 2013, with Taylor following shortly after. They eventually reconciled in 2016, married, and had two daughters before their recent separation.
