Millie Mackintosh recently shared her experience at the alcohol-free Medicine Festival, describing it as a "euphoric" and "uninhibited" event. The former "Made in Chelsea" star, who has been sober since 2023 due to anxiety, attended the festival near Reading and found the experience to be deeply positive.

Mackintosh highlighted that the festival, which focuses on "people and the planet, wisdom-keepers, indigenous communities and artists from all traditions," emphasized sustainability with no single-use plastics in sight. She noted that her time included swimming in a lake, making new friends, and participating in Kirtan, a devotional singing practice. "I felt completely uninhibited the whole weekend, and I had so much more energy than I usually do at a festival," she stated. "No dips, no hangover, no losing a day trying to recover. I actually remembered everything, and I came home feeling better than when I arrived."

She reflected that the festival experience led her to realize that "alcohol was never the thing that made festivals magical." She arrived at the festival unsure of what to expect but left with a sense of rejuvenation.

This festival appearance follows a period of significant personal transition for Mackintosh. Last week, she shared her emotional experience of moving into a new rental home after her split from husband Hugo Taylor. Documenting the process of unpacking and assembling flat-pack furniture, she admitted to shedding tears while setting up her new space, framing it as the start of a "new chapter."

Mackintosh described the move as a "healing" process, noting the challenge and catharsis of leaving the marital home they had extensively renovated. She expressed finding strength amidst the chaos of starting over, with the move itself marking a significant step in her personal journey. "Starting again somewhere new has taught me more about who I am than I expected," she wrote. "Turns out you can grieve a chapter and be genuinely excited for the next one at the same time."

She and Hugo Taylor have officially filed for divorce, aiming for a "clean break" while continuing to co-parent. The couple had previously spent months renovating their £5 million family home, a project Mackintosh documented, expressing pride in their shared effort and the eventual transformation of the space into a home.
