Millie Mackintosh recently shared her positive experience at an alcohol-free festival, describing the event as "euphoric" and "uninhibited." The former "Made In Chelsea" star, who has been sober since 2023 due to anxiety, attended Medicine Festival near Reading.

Mackintosh posted on Instagram about her time at the festival, which she said is focused on community, the planet, and diverse artistic traditions. She noted the absence of single-use plastics and intentional practices throughout the event. "I swam in the lake with my girlfriends and made new ones along the way," she wrote. One of her favorite experiences was participating in Kirtan, a devotional singing practice.

She elaborated on the benefits of the alcohol-free environment, stating, "I felt completely uninhibited the whole weekend, and I had so much more energy than I usually do at a festival. No dips, no hangover, no losing a day trying to recover. I actually remembered everything, and I came home feeling better than when I arrived."

Mackintosh reflected that the experience led her to realize that "alcohol was never the thing that made festivals magical!"

This festival attendance follows a period of personal change for Mackintosh, including her recent move into a new rental home after splitting from her husband, Hugo Taylor. She documented the process of setting up her new living space, describing it as a "new chapter" and finding "strength in the chaos." She acknowledged receiving significant help from a friend in navigating the housing search and administrative process, which eased what she described as a stressful time.

In April, Mackintosh had shared her feelings about moving out of the marital home, calling the process a "healing" experience. She posted about the emotional and practical aspects of starting over, noting that while divorce was not the future she had envisioned, the next steps felt like a beautiful new beginning, even amidst the uncertainty of moving boxes. She found that the process taught her a great deal about herself, realizing that one can grieve a past chapter while simultaneously being excited for the future.

Mackintosh and Taylor have officially filed for divorce and are reportedly aiming for a "clean break" while co-parenting. Prior to their separation, they had undertaken a significant renovation of their former family home, a project Mackintosh had shared updates on, highlighting the time, effort, and patience involved. She expressed pride in the completed renovation, noting the shift from major construction to the finer details of making a house feel like a home with art and personal touches.
