Millie Mackintosh and New Boyfriend Matthew Tanner Debut as a Couple
Former reality star Millie Mackintosh and her new boyfriend Matthew Tanner made their first public appearance together, attending a jewelry event in London.
Millie Mackintosh and her new boyfriend Matthew Tanner made their first public appearance as a couple on Thursday, attending the Boodles Old Bond Street flagship opening in London. The former Made In Chelsea star, 37, has recently moved on from her seven-year marriage to Hugo Taylor, 40, with whom she officially filed for divorce in February.
Mackintosh and Tanner, 38, were photographed browsing diamonds at the event. Mackintosh wore a multi-patterned slip dress by Hayley Menzies, complemented by black boots and Boodles jewelry. Tanner appeared in a navy suit with a pink tie.
This public outing follows a sighting last week where Mackintosh and Tanner were seen holding hands and appearing affectionate during a date in Chelsea. Their relationship marks a new chapter for Mackintosh, who shares two daughters, Sienna, six, and Aurelia, four, with her ex-husband. The children are reportedly splitting their time between their parents' separate homes.
The debut comes shortly after Hugo Taylor posted a quote on social media, which read: "All that is gold does not glitter. Not all those who wander are lost. The old that is strong does not wither. Deep roots are not reached by the frost." This quote, from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Fellowship of the Ring, offers a reversal of the traditional proverb "All that glitters is not gold," suggesting that outward appearances can be deceiving.
Tanner, a Global Solutions Director and Programme Director at Robert Walters Consultancy, shares Mackintosh's interest in fitness. His Instagram account showcases his dedication to fitness, including mirror selfies and training for endurance events like the Barcelona Marathon and the Marathon des Sables Ultra in the Sahara. He studied Biomedical Sciences and Nutrition at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Mackintosh, who described herself as a "creator, entrepreneur and author" on her dating profile, reportedly joined the celebrity dating app Raya over the summer. Sources close to her indicated she was not in a rush to find a new relationship but was open to "having some fun and getting back out there."
Mackintosh and Taylor's relationship was famously documented on the reality series Made In Chelsea, where they first met in 2011. Their time on the show included a notable incident where Mackintosh threw a drink in Taylor's face after discovering he had cheated on her with a friend. They initially split after six months, and both later left the show. After a five-year hiatus, during which Mackintosh was married to rapper Professor Green, she and Taylor reconciled in 2016. They married and had two daughters before their recent separation.
