Milania Giudice Compares Family Treatment to Britney Spears' Conservatorship in Bodycam Footage

Milania Giudice, 20, claimed her family is treating her in a manner akin to Britney Spears' conservatorship situation, as revealed in police bodycam footage of a recent airport incident. "I'm under conservation from my parents," Giudice stated in the footage obtained by Page Six, appearing to intend the word "conservatorship." "Or some Britney Spears bulls--t."

Britney Spears was placed under a conservatorship in 2008 following a public breakdown the previous year. The legal arrangement, which granted control of her affairs to her family, was terminated in November 2021 after a protracted legal fight and significant public attention.

The incident involving Milania Giudice occurred at Tampa International Airport. According to an incident report, the University of Tampa student had recently been discharged from a hospital and was reportedly experiencing a "mental breakdown" and "suicidal thoughts." She allegedly ran away from her mother, Teresa Giudice, her sister Gia Giudice, and a counselor at the airport.

Bodycam footage showed Teresa Giudice telling her daughter that she "wants to save [her] life" and informed officials that Milania "had fentanyl in her system." Milania, in response, stated she "was laced" with the substance and questioned if her mother would send her "back to the psych ward."

Police officers were present during the exchange, and the footage indicated that Milania had been subjected to the Baker Act, a Florida law allowing for temporary mental health evaluation. One officer noted the intention was to "get her back to a rehab facility."

Milania was located approximately 45 minutes after she initially ran off and subsequently boarded her flight with her family. She had been experiencing significant emotional distress following the recent deaths of two close friends, including Victoria Zardoya in July, and her great-grandmother two months later.

Teresa Giudice addressed the situation on Instagram Stories, stating that Milania has been suffering from "tremendous heartbreak and significant psychological trauma" due to these losses. She emphasized that grief affects individuals differently and that her priority is ensuring Milania is "surrounded by love, family, support." Giudice requested privacy for her family as they navigate this period.
