Miki Sudo secured her 11th Mustard Belt on Saturday morning at the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, consuming 33 hot dogs and buns to win the women's competition. This victory marks another successful defense of her title in the fiercely competitive event.
Sudo, 40, has been a dominant force in the women's division since her debut in 2014, remaining undefeated in every contest she has entered. While her 2026 performance met expectations, she previously expressed a desire to surpass her own record. In 2024, she set a personal best by consuming 51 hot dogs and buns.
The only competition Sudo missed was in 2021, when she was pregnant. That year, Michelle Lesco emerged victorious, eating 30.75 hot dogs and buns. Lesco, from Tucson, Arizona, and known as "Cardboard Shell," finished in second place in the 2026 contest with 22 hot dogs and buns.
Sudo holds a degree in dental hygiene from Hillsborough College in Florida. Her partner, Nick Wehry, is also a professional competitive eater. The couple, who refer to themselves as "The Hungry Couple," have an infant son named Max and an American Bully dog named Dennis.
