Mike Tyson says he delivered Sean 'Diddy' Combs' letter to President Trump

Retired boxer Mike Tyson has confirmed that he delivered a letter from Sean "Diddy" Combs to former President Donald Trump, a favor that sources previously suggested was a request for a presidential pardon.

Tyson shared the detail in a recent interview on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live.” When asked about his relationship with Combs, Tyson stated he was "friendly with Puff." He then revealed that Combs had asked him to deliver a letter to the president. Cohen inquired if Tyson had indeed given a letter from Combs to the president, to which Tyson responded, "I did what he told me to do."

Reports first emerged in January from sources close to Combs, who claimed that Tyson hand-delivered a pardon request letter to Trump. According to these sources, Tyson was initially hesitant but agreed to deliver the letter to the White House during a visit.

An attorney for Combs confirmed in August 2025 that his legal team had approached the Trump administration regarding a potential pardon. However, The New York Times reported in January that Trump stated he was not considering the request, though he acknowledged receiving it.

Combs was convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation for prostitution and was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison. He is currently serving his sentence at the Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey. Reports have since emerged of him being sent to solitary confinement following revelations of a lavish lifestyle he allegedly maintained behind bars.

In October 2025, the White House dismissed a TMZ report claiming Trump might commute Combs' sentence, stating, "There is zero truth to the TMZ report... The President, not anonymous sources, is the final decider on pardons and commutations."
