Mike Myers Wears 'Fight Fascism' T-Shirt at Politically Charged Rock Concert

Mike Myers, 63, made a political statement at a recent rock concert in New York City by wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan "Fight Fascism." The comedian attended The Strokes' sold-out homecoming concert at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens.

The politically charged event also featured a surprise appearance from progressive politicians Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders, who introduced the band on stage. Ocasio-Cortez called The Strokes "the greatest rock band of our generation." Myers shared his concert experience on Instagram, expressing his enjoyment of the performances and urging his followers to "vote in November" and "fight fascism."

Myers' sartorial choice drew a mixed reaction in the comments section of his post, though many praised the actor for his bold stance. Some users expressed differing political views, while others defended his message, with one commenter stating, "If someone wearing a shirt that just says 'Fight Fascism' is triggering for you, you need to get your safe space so you can reflect on WHY THE F**K that is."

The "Austin Powers" star has recently garnered attention for his changing appearance. Earlier in the year, Myers dyed his hair silver blonde, a departure from his long-time brunette shade. He debuted this new look at the Los Angeles premiere of "Michael" in April, appearing alongside his wife, Kelly Tisdale.

In May, at the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards, Myers' appearance led some fans to mistake him for fellow comedian Steve Martin. He was presented with the Academy Icon Award at the ceremony, where he delivered an emotional speech thanking his parents for moving to Canada and emphasizing the importance of silliness. The Academy recognized him as a "legend" for his contributions. Meyers was also noted for publicizing the phrase "Elbows up" in response to former U.S. President Donald Trump's comments about annexing Canada. During his acceptance speech, he expressed deep gratitude for his home country, stating, "Canada, I don’t know what to say, dude. I’d just really be nothing without you."
