New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel and his wife, Jen Vrabel, were seen together in New York City on Friday, approximately three months after Vrabel's public scandal involving NFL reporter Dianna Russini. The couple was photographed entering Manhattan's Langham Hotel.
Mike Vrabel, 50, was seen carrying shopping bags from Nordstrom as he entered the hotel. Jen Vrabel wore a T-shirt, striped pants, and sandals, with a sweater tied around her waist and her hair in a ponytail. The couple has been married since 1999 and has two sons, Tyler and Carter.
The public appearance comes after photos published in April showed Mike Vrabel hugging Russini at an Arizona hotel. Further images depicted the two holding hands. Vrabel and Russini had worked together since Russini began covering the Tennessee Titans in 2018.
Initially, Mike Vrabel described the interaction with Russini as "completely innocent." He later admitted to having "difficult conversations" with his family during a press conference. Following the initial reports, Page Six also released older photos of Vrabel and Russini from 2020. Vrabel subsequently announced he was "seeking counseling," stating his intention to "lead by example" as a husband, father, and coach. He later traveled to Utah for marriage counseling with his wife.
The Vrabels were first photographed together publicly after the scandal in June at a group event celebrating their son Tyler's engagement.
Dianna Russini, who resigned from The Athletic in April, addressed the impact of the events in a New York Times article published last month, stating it had a "significant impact on my life, both professionally and personally."
Russini married her husband, Kevin Goldschmidt, in September 2020, and they have two sons. They were seen together in May.
