Miguel Rojas Reflects on Life-Changing Dodgers Tenure

As his playing career winds down, Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas is reflecting on the profound impact his tenure with the team has had on his life.

During an appearance on the Fox pregame show for Game 4 of the World Series, Rojas shared that his four years with the Dodgers were transformative. "They changed my life, they gave me the opportunity to go back home where I made my debut in 2014," Rojas stated. "it’s not just for me, it’s for my family."

Rojas specifically mentioned how the organization embraced his son, Aaron, creating cherished memories. "My son, he was shagging fly balls in the outfield, he was… living the dream for me, and for my daughter, just to be around them," he said. "That’s what I told the guys. Thank you for changing my life. And for being part of the best four years of my life."

Rojas' professional baseball journey began in 2006 when he signed as an undrafted free agent from Venezuela with the Cincinnati Reds. He later signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers in 2012, making his MLB debut with the team in June 2014. He played in 85 games during that initial stint before being traded to the Miami Marlins, where he spent the next eight seasons.

His return to the Dodgers in 2022 marked a significant period for the franchise. Rojas became a pivotal figure in the 2025 World Series, hitting a game-winning solo home run in the ninth inning of Game 7 to secure the team's second consecutive championship. Despite contemplating retirement after that success, he returned for the 2026 season, aiming for a three-peat.

Following the Dodgers' elimination in the NLCS by the Milwaukee Brewers, Rojas announced his retirement. His career concluded with two World Series titles, 1,048 hits, a .260 batting average, and 386 RBIs.

Rojas is set to play one final time in baseball this winter, representing Venezuela in the Professional Baseball League for the Tiburones de La Guaira club.
