Miguel Rojas Announces Retirement, Bids Farewell to Dodgers Teammates

Veteran infielder Miguel Rojas has announced his retirement from professional baseball, confirming that Game 4 of the NLCS was the final game of his career. Rojas shared an emotional message on social media, thanking his teammates and expressing profound gratitude for his tenure with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"All I can say is THANK YOU for changing my life 💙," Rojas posted. "I will forever be grateful and so proud that I wore Dodger blue and represented this community every single day. Love you Dodger Family .- Miggy Ro 🫡."

Rojas first joined the Dodgers in 2014 and returned to the team in 2023. He was reacquired by Los Angeles the season before the team secured their first of two consecutive World Series championships. Throughout his time with the Dodgers, the 37-year-old was recognized as a key figure in fostering a cohesive clubhouse atmosphere and was lauded for his defensive skills as an experienced infielder.

His departure signals a shift for the Dodgers as they look towards the 2027 season, which is expected to feature a significantly different roster. While Rojas will not be part of the team's future lineup, the culture of camaraderie he helped cultivate is expected to endure.
