A migrant was apprehended attempting to exit the United Kingdom after being discovered in a lorry at the Port of Dover ferry terminal. The individual, described as 'Asian-looking' and wearing a grey hooded jacket and black jogging bottoms, was observed jumping from the back of a trailer as officers conducted searches.

Footage of the incident, featured in the Channel 4 documentary "Dover 24/7: Britain's Busiest Port," shows police officers pursuing the man. Upon being apprehended, the man pleaded with officers, stating, "I just want to go back to France!"

Officers were alerted to the presence of a male moving away from security personnel towards the port's exit. They intercepted him near the taxi rank. While being taken to a police van, the man reiterated his wish to return to France. An officer informed him that French authorities had indicated he was not permitted to enter France.

Authorities learned that the man had been an undocumented stowaway in the lorry, and there were reportedly four other individuals still inside the trailer. The man was subsequently taken to a police station.

The Port of Dover Police later confirmed the man received a "community resolution," an out-of-court order typically issued for less serious offenses. The incident occurred amid broader discussions regarding immigration policies, with a recent report indicating a shift in Labour's stance on citizenship for asylum seekers who arrived without authorization. Under revised guidelines, such individuals may now be eligible for British passports if they can demonstrate that their arrival was outside their control, a change from previous Conservative government policy.
