Mick Jagger, 82, recently demonstrated his dedication to his sons by attending England's football matches, accompanied by three of his children: James, 40, Lucas, 27, and Deveraux (Devi), nine. The close bond between Jagger and his sons was evident as they celebrated victories and commiserated after defeats, despite the children being born to three different mothers across several decades.

While Jagger is known for his passion for books, movies, ballet, and cricket, insiders suggest that none of his children have inherited these particular pursuits. Football, however, has emerged as a shared interest, providing dedicated father-son time as none of the boys' mothers or sisters are particularly interested in the sport.

According to a friend of the rock star, Lucas is considered Jagger's "golden boy." This designation stems from Lucas being the only one of Jagger's sons to have graduated from university. Jagger, who himself attended the London School of Economics before pursuing music, reportedly places a high value on academic achievement. Lucas, who bears a strong resemblance to his father, graduated from New York University in 2024 with a degree in literary arts. Jagger was present at his graduation, posing with his son in academic regalia alongside Lucas's mother, Brazilian model Luciana Morad.

Despite his academic background, Lucas appears to be pursuing a career in modeling and influencing, recently featuring in an eyewear campaign. Jagger's eldest son, James, attended Stowe School but was not academically inclined. He later pursued acting, appearing in the series "Vinyl," co-created by his father. Another son, Gabriel, 28, trained as a journalist and briefly worked for The Times newspaper before launching his own media company. A friend noted that both Gabriel and Lucas share an interest in the arts.

Jagger also has four daughters: Karis, 55; Jade, 54; Lizzie, 42; and Georgia May, 34. Karis graduated from Yale University with a degree in history. Georgia May has achieved significant financial success as a model, a path Jagger reportedly tried to steer her away from in favor of higher education.

In a 2023 interview, Jagger reflected on the challenges of being an older father, describing it as a different experience compared to raising his older children. He noted that with more children, parents tend to become more laissez-faire. He also mentioned that as a working musician often on tour, he did not always get to enjoy fatherhood as much as he would have liked.

His experience with his youngest son, Devi, with former ballerina Melanie Hamrick, has been markedly different. Devi, born when Jagger was 73, reportedly spends a significant amount of time with his father, including trips to Jagger's residence in Paris, where they converse in French. Jagger reportedly has intellectual ambitions for all his children.

Despite an image that once epitomized the hedonistic values of the 1960s, Jagger has generally been a hands-on father, with the exception of his eldest daughter, Karis, with whom he reconnected when she was 12. When Luciana Morad announced her pregnancy in 1998, Jagger was reportedly supportive, attending scans and even helping Lucas with homework via Skype. Morad stated in an interview that Jagger was always present during her pregnancy, contrary to her expectations of single motherhood.

Jagger reportedly provides an allowance to his adult children, described as "survival rations rather than a fortune." James most recently appeared in the 2024 film "Waltzing With Brando," and Gabriel has found some success as a film producer, marrying Swiss socialite Anouk in 2021.
