Michigan Man Arrested for Alleged Threats Against FBI Director Kash Patel

A 42-year-old Michigan man was arrested Friday on federal charges for allegedly threatening the life of FBI Director Kash Patel and vowing deadly force against federal agents.

Anthony Daniel Palazzolo, of Chesterfield Township, was taken into custody after allegedly sending a series of Facebook messages to an associate of Patel earlier this month. Prosecutors stated that these messages claimed Palazzolo would target the FBI and had "put a hit out" on Patel, referring to him with a profane insult.

In a separate incident, Palazzolo allegedly made a phone call to an FBI agent. During this call, he is accused of threatening to appear at the Detroit field office and use lethal force against "every single one of you government officials—FBI Secret Service will all be f[——] killed."

Palazzolo appeared in federal court on Friday and was temporarily detained. The investigation was conducted by the United States Attorney Jerome F. Gorgon, Jr.'s office.
