Michigan Father Killed in Tragic Driving Lesson Accident
An 18-year-old driver accidentally struck and killed her 62-year-old father while he was teaching her to parallel park.
A driving lesson in Warren, Michigan, ended in tragedy when an 18-year-old girl accidentally killed her 62-year-old father. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon as the father was instructing his daughter on how to parallel park.
According to the Warren Police Department, the pair were practicing in the 24000 block of Warner Avenue. The daughter was driving a 1998 Toyota Camry when she reportedly hit her father and dragged him a short distance. She stopped the vehicle and remained at the scene until emergency responders arrived.
The father was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have stated that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident. The family, including the daughter, is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

This incident is among several recent traffic fatalities in Michigan. On September 14, a pedestrian was struck in Wayne County by a driver who fled the scene. In a separate crash around the same time in Kalamazoo, one person died and two others, including a child, were injured.
