Michigan Father Dies After Daughter Accidentally Strikes Him During Driving Lesson
An 18-year-old was teaching her 62-year-old father how to parallel park when the fatal incident occurred.
A driving lesson in Warren, Michigan, ended in tragedy when an 18-year-old daughter accidentally struck and killed her 62-year-old father while he was teaching her to parallel park. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in the 24000 block of Warner Avenue.
Warren police responded to a 4 p.m. call and found the father unresponsive. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities stated that the daughter, who was driving a 1998 Toyota Camry, hit her father and dragged him a short distance before stopping.
The daughter remained at the scene until emergency responders arrived. Investigators have ruled out drugs and alcohol as contributing factors in the crash. Both the daughter and the family are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
