Michelle Monaghan, 50, recently shared a series of photos from her vacation in Indonesia, showcasing her fit physique in a colorful string bikini. The actress posted the images to Instagram, documenting her time exploring the country's tropical landscapes.
In one post, Monaghan captioned her photos with "Brb maxxed out 🇮🇩," highlighting her enjoyment of the getaway. Fans responded positively to the images, with one commenter calling her "incredible" and another suggesting the vacation setting was her "natural habitat."
This trip marked Monaghan's second visit to Indonesia. She discussed her travels, including a visit to Komodo National Park, during a recent appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." Monaghan explained that a conversation with actor Robert De Niro, who asked if she had seen the Komodo dragons during her first trip, inspired her family's return to the national park.
Evolving Approach to Health
Beyond her vacation, Monaghan also spoke about her perspective on health and fitness as she entered her 50s. In a May 2026 interview with Fox News Digital, she described turning 50 as an "amazing thing" and an opportunity to be more intentional about how she spends her time and energy. Monaghan stated that she feels physically stronger now than she did in her 30s.
"Midlife, I’m perimenopausal, taking care of my body and my muscles and my bones is of utmost importance," Monaghan told Fox News Digital. She detailed her fitness routine, which typically includes strength training three times a week, often at a 6 a.m. class. When her schedule permits, she also incorporates activities like walking, hiking, jogging, and Pilates. Monaghan noted that Pilates is particularly beneficial for her, focusing on flexibility and breathwork.
Monaghan's recent Indonesian vacation included time in the water and on the shore, with one image showing her raising her arms in celebration while standing in shallow water.
The actress, known for her roles in "The White Lotus" and "Mission: Impossible III," also shared a photo of herself on the shoreline.
Monaghan previously traveled to Indonesia for a surfing trip before starting work on her upcoming movie "The Whisper Man." She was later seen heading to "The Tonight Show" to promote the film, wearing a black dress.
