Michelle Keegan Opts for Family Time Over ITV Role, Enjoys Paris Getaway

Michelle Keegan recently enjoyed a romantic weekend in Paris with her husband, Mark Wright, attending a Celine Dion concert. This trip followed her decision to withdraw from an upcoming ITV drama, which insiders state was to allow her more time with their 18-month-old daughter, Palma.

Keegan, 39, and Wright, a radio host, shared moments from their Parisian getaway on Instagram, including a dinner at the renowned Lapérouse restaurant and a visit to the Eiffel Tower. Wright posted a photo of the couple, captioning it, 'A weekend in Paris with a Celine super fan @michellekeegan.'

The actress's decision to step away from the ITV project, where she was slated to play a working-class barrister, came just months before filming was scheduled to begin. Sources indicated that the demanding filming schedule would have kept her away from Palma for extended periods. The role was ultimately filled by Jodie Whittaker.

This choice reflects Keegan's evolving priorities regarding motherhood and career. Previously, she had spoken about the pressures and speculation surrounding her family planning, noting the intense media focus after she and Wright did not conceive within a specific timeframe following their marriage. This led her to limit public discussion of her personal life and establish firmer boundaries.

Keegan's commitment to her family is further underscored by this career decision. While dedicated to her acting, she, like many working mothers, is navigating the balance between professional commitments and being present for her child. Her new drama, "The Blame," is set to be released on September 20.
