Michael Penix Jr.'s Wife Celebrates Falcons' Victory Amid Pregnancy Announcement
Olivia Penix shared her joy following her husband's second consecutive win as quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, just days after the couple revealed they are expecting their first child.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and his wife, Olivia, are celebrating a series of significant life events. Following their announcement of expecting their first child, Olivia Penix expressed her excitement over her husband’s recent success on the field, as the Falcons secured their second consecutive victory with Penix at quarterback.
On Monday night, Penix led the Falcons to a decisive 45-24 win against the New Orleans Saints. This victory marks his second start since returning to the lineup after a major knee injury sustained in November. Last week, Penix also guided the team to a 35-14 win over the Green Bay Packers.
Olivia Penix shared her celebratory reaction via an Instagram Story, posting a video of her husband performing his signature bow-and-arrow celebration after the Falcons' win. She captioned the post, “Hubby baby daddy,” according to reports.
Penix completed 15 of 20 passes for 223 yards and one touchdown in the game against the Saints at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. He and Olivia shared a moment on the sideline before the game, as captured in video footage.
The couple announced their upcoming parenthood on Saturday through a joint Instagram post. They shared an intimate maternity video, featuring them dancing and holding a sonogram, with the caption, “Upgraded to mom and dad.” Their child is expected in the spring of 2027.
Penix and Olivia, a former women’s soccer player at the University of Nevada, were married in May 2026, having become engaged on Christmas Eve in 2024. Olivia Penix graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology in May 2022.
The Falcons have shown improved performance with Penix under center. The team has accumulated 918 total yards and 80 points in the two games with Penix playing, a notable increase compared to the 524 yards and 16 points in the first two weeks of the season when Cooper Rush primarily played quarterback, according to NFL.com. The Falcons, now with a 2-2 record, are scheduled to host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.
