Michael Kelly Joins 'Landman' for Season 3 as Production Gears Up
The "Lioness" and "Jack Ryan" actor will play a major industry figure in the upcoming season of the Paramount+ drama.
Michael Kelly has been cast as a series regular for the third season of the Paramount+ drama "Landman," according to Deadline. Kelly, known for his roles in "Lioness" and "Jack Ryan," will portray William Crockett, described as a titan of industry leading the world's largest oil management firm.
The renewal of "Landman" for a third season was confirmed by Paramount in December, following what the streamer called a "streaming phenomenon" for its second season. The Season 2 finale aired on January 18, 2026.
While an official release date for Season 3 has not been announced, production is expected to begin soon. James Jordan, who plays Dale on the series, indicated in late July that filming would commence in "about a month." Casting calls for extras in the Fort Worth area have been issued for September 24 and 25, suggesting principal photography will likely extend into early 2027. Based on this timeline, the third season of "Landman" is anticipated to debut in mid-to-late 2027.
Billy Bob Thornton, who plays Tommy Norris, is confirmed to return for the third season.
Both seasons of "Landman" are currently available for streaming on Paramount+. The service offers an ad-supported Essential plan for $8.99 per month and an ad-free Premium plan for $13.99 per month.
