Michael Cohen, a former attorney for Donald Trump, was seen at the White House alongside billionaire John Catsimatidis, owner of WABC radio. The meeting occurred before President Trump departed for a campaign event in Ohio.
Sources close to the situation noted the enigmatic nature of the gathering, stating, “We don’t know what was discussed, and that gap is where the interesting questions live… the most revealing facts are often the ones left unexplained.”
Cohen later addressed the meeting on Instagram, posting, “Attn: All Media Outlets-No need to continue calling me…So, YES…I was at the White House today along with John Catsimatidis. We left when @POTUS left for Ohio and appreciate the time and conversation.” Representatives for the individuals did not immediately comment.
This encounter follows a period of shifting allegiances for Cohen. In August, he appeared on Catsimatidis' WABC radio show, referring to Trump as "boss" and discussing the possibility of a presidential pardon for tax evasion and other offenses. This came despite Cohen's previous role in assisting prosecutors in convicting Trump of 34 felonies in 2024.
