Micah Parsons to Miss Packers' Game Against Cowboys Amid ACL Rehab
Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur indicated that Parsons is not yet medically cleared to return to practice.

Micah Parsons will not play in the upcoming game against the Dallas Cowboys as his recovery from a torn ACL continues, Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur confirmed Monday.
Parsons remains on the physically unable to perform list and is outside the four-week window for activation, but he has not yet received medical clearance to return to practice. LaFleur stated that while Parsons is getting "closer," the green light has not been given.
"There’s a lot of testing that goes on before he gets medically cleared to get out there," LaFleur told reporters, according to ESPN. "And then I’m sure we’re gonna want to give him some time to get back to playing football. As you see with most guys that are coming off a major injury, it takes a little bit of time."
Prior to the season, there had been optimism that Parsons might be ready for the Week 6 matchup against his former team, the Cowboys, who traded him to Green Bay before the 2025 season. General manager Brian Gutekunst had suggested in early September that Parsons could be nearing a return once the four-week window passed. When asked if anything had changed since those comments, LaFleur acknowledged that "we were all hopeful."
LaFleur described Parsons as a "physical specimen" and a "creature of nature," but emphasized the importance of ensuring his body is balanced before returning to play, specifically noting the need for equal strength in both legs.
The star edge rusher tore his ACL on Dec. 14 during a loss to the Denver Broncos and underwent surgery later that month. The injury sidelined him for his first season with the Packers, cutting short what had been a strong performance. In his initial year in Green Bay, Parsons recorded 12.5 sacks, 41 tackles, 27 quarterback hits, and two forced fumbles, earning a Pro Bowl selection and a first-team All-Pro nod.
