A 19-year-old Miami waitress, Nathalie Rodriguez Gonzalez, has been arrested on charges of extortion and making threats. According to an arrest report from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, she is accused of demanding $20,000 from a man she was dating, threatening to release intimate photographs of him if he did not comply.
The situation reportedly escalated after Rodriguez Gonzalez learned that the man had a girlfriend throughout the entirety of their relationship. She allegedly sent threatening text messages, stating that an additional $5,000 would be added to the demand if he failed to pay. She further threatened to send the intimate pictures to his girlfriend and his business partner, and to post them on her social media accounts.
When the man refused to pay, Rodriguez Gonzalez allegedly sent one of the intimate pictures to his business partner. Subsequently, she is reported to have sent another to the man's girlfriend with a message indicating it would be posted if money was not wired. The report also states she threatened to post explicit images of the man, potentially including the girlfriend's face, if the money was not sent.
Deputies allege that Rodriguez Gonzalez admitted to posting a censored version of an intimate image on her TikTok account. She was arrested on Friday and reportedly provided a full confession to authorities. The incident serves as a cautionary tale regarding the potential consequences of romantic entanglements.
