Miami Dolphins Announce Ticket Price Increase Amid Winless Season, Sparking Fan Outrage

The Miami Dolphins have announced a three percent increase in season ticket prices for the 2027 season, a decision that has ignited backlash from fans already dismayed by the team's winless start to the current campaign. The price hike is reportedly tied to an additional regular season home game at Hard Rock Stadium.

While the total number of home games, including preseason, will remain 10 next season, nine of those will count as regular season contests. Some reports indicate that specific seating sections, particularly those in the shade on the home sidelines, may see a price increase slightly exceeding the general three percent.

Fans have voiced their displeasure on social media, with many questioning the timing of the increase given the team's 0-5 record. One common sentiment expressed online was, "If only they would increase wins." Another fan lamented the lack of price reduction for the current season and expressed frustration that prices are being raised again, especially after past increases when there were fewer home games but more team excitement.

The Dolphins have seen a dip in average attendance this season, with 58,719 fans attending their first two home games, ranking them 31st in the NFL. This contrasts with an average of 65,687 fans per game last season. The team is scheduled to host Houston, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, and Washington, along with teams from the AFC North and NFC South divisions. The Dolphins' current season has seen losses against the Raiders, 49ers, Chiefs, Vikings, and Bengals. Their next game is an away match against the Jets following a bye week.
