Mia Goth Files for Divorce from Shia LaBeouf

Mia Goth has filed for divorce from actor Shia LaBeouf after a decade-long marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences," according to court documents.

Goth filed the paperwork on Tuesday night, listing the date of separation as July 28, 2025. The couple share a four-year-old daughter, Isabel, and were married on October 10, 2016.

Goth, 32, is requesting primary legal and physical custody of Isabel and seeks to terminate the court's ability to award spousal support to either party. LaBeouf is 40.

Representatives for Goth and LaBeouf did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The divorce filing follows a period of legal and personal challenges for LaBeouf. In February, he was arrested in New Orleans following a drunken bar brawl. In June, he pleaded guilty to three counts of simple battery stemming from the incident. A judge handed him a six-month suspended sentence and two years of probation, with orders to stay away from the victims and the bar.

LaBeouf has had multiple encounters with the law throughout his career. In 2017, he was arrested in New York City on suspicion of assault. Later that year, while filming in Georgia, he was arrested for public drunkenness and accused of disorderly conduct and obstruction, leading to a probation sentence. In 2020, he was charged with misdemeanor battery and petty theft in Los Angeles.

In an interview with journalist Andrew Callaghan following his February arrest, LaBeouf denied having a "drinking problem," attributing his aggressive behavior to "anger and ego" rather than alcohol. He also made controversial remarks about his fear of "big gay people."

LaBeouf and Goth began their relationship in December 2012 after meeting on the set of "Nymphomaniac: Vol. II." They married in Las Vegas in 2016. Their relationship has been marked by public incidents, including an argument captured on video in 2015, and a reported split in 2018.

Sources indicated the 2018 separation was amicable, with the couple planning to keep divorce proceedings private. However, they reconciled in 2020. Goth gave birth to their daughter, Isabel, in March 2022.

During a period of separation, LaBeouf dated singer FKA Twigs. In December 2020, she filed a lawsuit accusing him of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, as well as knowingly transmitting a sexually transmitted disease. LaBeouf denied these allegations. In July, it was revealed that LaBeouf and Twigs had settled their lawsuit, with Twigs dismissing all claims. A recent court filing indicated that the non-disclosure agreements from their settlement are now terminated, allowing Twigs to speak publicly about her experience.

LaBeouf's attorney, Shawn Holley, stated that "Shia wishes Twigs nothing but the best in her life and career and, to that end, has agreed to end their long-standing dispute." Twigs' attorney, Mathew Rosengart, commented that this victory "frees her to discuss her experience, advocate for other women who might be less privileged, and support the charitable causes of her choice."

LaBeouf has previously credited Goth with saving his life and providing hope during difficult times.
