Mia Goth Debuts New Look Amid Shia LaBeouf Divorce Filing

Actress Mia Goth appeared in Los Angeles on Saturday at the Academy Museum Gala, marking her first public sighting since filing for divorce from actor Shia LaBeouf. Goth, 32, showcased a glamorous new style featuring bronde hair and a sleek black gown.

The couple married on October 10, 2016, and share a four-year-old daughter, Isabel. Goth has requested primary legal and physical custody of their child and asked that the court not award spousal support to either party. The divorce filing cites "irreconcilable differences," with the date of separation listed as July 28, 2025.

The filing follows a period of legal challenges for LaBeouf. In February, he was arrested for a public disturbance in New Orleans. In June, he pleaded guilty to three counts of simple battery and received a six-month suspended sentence and two years of probation. LaBeouf denied having a "drinking problem" in a subsequent interview, attributing his behavior to "anger and ego."

LaBeouf, 40, has had several past legal encounters, including arrests in 2017 and 2020 that resulted in probation. He has previously spoken positively about Goth's influence on his life, stating she "she gave me hope when I was really running on fumes."

The Academy Museum Gala also honored Charlize Theron, Colman Domingo, and John Carpenter. Other notable attendees included Taylor Swift, who performed at the event. Swift is also reportedly eligible for an Oscar nomination for her original song in "Toy Story 5."

In a separate development, FKA twigs, who previously filed a lawsuit accusing LaBeouf of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, has settled her case. A court filing indicated that LaBeouf agreed to terminate non-disclosure agreements related to the settlement, allowing Twigs to speak publicly about her experience. Her attorney stated that this outcome empowers her to advocate for survivors of sexual abuse.
