Mexican influencer Cindy Tamez, her partner, and three children were discovered dead on September 30 in what authorities are investigating as a murder-suicide.

Tamez, 34, known on TikTok for her fashion content and over 74,000 followers, was found with her two-year-old son, Gustavo, inside her car in Montemorelos, Mexico. A handgun was reportedly found at the scene.

Her partner, Leodegario Moya, and their two other children, Christian, 12, and Bruno, 11, were found shot to death at their nearby home. Prosecutors believe Tamez killed her family before dying by suicide, though the investigation remains ongoing.

Tamez's final TikTok post, shared on the day of her death, included a text overlay stating, "Not everyone knows my nasty side. I am capable of burning down my house just to see the neighbor’s burning, even knowing that I’ll get f**ked too."

This incident follows the recent death of another Mexican influencer, César Gastélum, who was shot and killed in August during a livestream in Culiacán. Gastélum, who had over 600,000 followers on TikTok for his comedy content, was reportedly shot by individuals on a motorcycle.

The motive for Gastélum's shooting is unclear, but his death occurred in Sinaloa, a state experiencing rising violence due to an ongoing rivalry between factions of the Sinaloa Cartel. The US Department of State advises Americans against travel to Sinaloa due to risks of terrorism and crime from various organized groups.

People reported that the prosecutors believe Tamez killed her children and partner before dying by suicide, but the investigation is still ongoing

The cartel's internal conflicts have led to thousands of deaths, disappearances, and displacements in Sinaloa since September 2024.

Tamez, 34, whose full name was Cinthia Abigail Tamez Rivera, had gained over 74,000 followers on TikTok, where she often shared fashion-related videos and showcased her glamorous outfits
