Metallica Ticket Prices Plummet for Las Vegas Sphere Residency
Fans can now secure tickets for the band's 'Life Burns Faster' shows at significantly reduced prices.
Ticket prices for Metallica's "Life Burns Faster" residency at the Las Vegas Sphere have seen a substantial decrease, offering fans a more affordable opportunity to witness the heavy metal icons.
In the third week of the band's residency, a two-day "No Repeat Weekend" pass, which previously started at $1,533 including fees, is now available for as low as $902 with fees. Single-day passes have also experienced a significant drop, with tickets for the upcoming weekend of October 6, initially priced at $810 including fees, now available for $539 including fees.
This price reduction appears to be widespread across most remaining dates of the residency, with only one date in March showing a steady price. This trend offers a more accessible entry point for concertgoers to experience the band's visually spectacular shows at the Sphere.
Critics have lauded the residency, with USA Today describing it as a show that "unabashedly flexes musical muscularity." The publication highlighted performances of songs like "The Call of Ktulu," noting the immersive visual experience that accompanies the music.
Metallica's residency at the Sphere is part of their extended "72 Seasons" world tour, which kicked off in April 2023 with the release of their eleventh studio album of the same name. The album, characterized by its high-velocity sound and 77-minute runtime, features tracks such as "Sleepwalk My Life Away," "You Must Burn!," and "Lux Æterna."
In addition to the Las Vegas shows, the band has announced additional dates for their "M72 Tour" in spring 2027, with stops planned across North America, including Vancouver, San Diego, El Paso, and San Antonio. Metallica is also scheduled to perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, in November to celebrate the venue's 25th anniversary. This marks their first performance in Connecticut since 1998.
The Sphere continues to host a variety of entertainment, with upcoming events including "The Wizard of Oz" film screenings, performances by the Eagles, Backstreet Boys, John Mayer, and Carín León. The venue also hosted Oprah Winfrey's "Aha" shows.
Concert setlists from earlier dates of the Sphere residency have been shared, with the first night featuring songs like "Battery," "Creeping Death," and "Master of Puppets," and the second night including "Blackened," "Fuel," and "Enter Sandman." The band has also paid tribute to former bassist Cliff Burton with performances of "The Call of Ktulu" and "Orion."
