The Metropolitan Police has issued an apology following a data breach that inadvertently revealed the contact information of around 140 women who had accused Mohamed Al Fayed, the former owner of Harrods, of sexual abuse.
The incident occurred when the women's email addresses were shared in a monthly email update intended for victims. The force has stated it is investigating the matter and has apologized for the distress this disclosure may cause.
