Meredith Marks, star of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City," has expressed regret over a past cosmetic procedure that led to complications during her recent facelift. Marks shared her experience in an exclusive interview with Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea," stating that a previous thread lift "definitely does not help" when undergoing a facelift.
A thread lift, described by the Cleveland Clinic as a nonsurgical procedure to lift and tighten skin, is known for its minimal downtime. It is a treatment favored by Marks' "RHOSLC" co-star Lisa Barlow. However, Marks found the recovery from her thread lift to be more difficult than that of her facelift.
"The recovery was so easy from [the facelift], and threads recovery is not," Marks told Page Six. "I had a splitting headache, and I didn’t feel great after the threads."
Marks, who underwent her facelift in February, noted that her recovery time was about 48 hours. She was able to resume deejaying approximately 12 days after the procedure. She had been considering a facelift for years and consulted numerous doctors before choosing Dr. Garo Kassabian in Beverly Hills, whom she praised for his training and the results of his other patients.
Marks has been open about other cosmetic procedures, including undergoing three breast reductions due to a medical condition causing her breast tissue to grow.
She also addressed ongoing commentary from her "RHOSLC" castmates about her hair, particularly her use of wigs. Marks found it "weird" that the topic was frequently brought up on the show, especially since many of her co-stars also use extensions or wigs. She believes such criticisms reflect poorly on those making them, stating, "I don’t care if they think they’re hurting my feelings or not. I don’t care what they think. They should worry about their own hair."
"The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" airs Wednesdays on Bravo.
