Meredith Marks Recounts Facelift Recovery: "Down for 48 Hours"
The "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" star shared details about her swift recovery from a recent facelift at the "Virtual Reali-Tea" Awards.
Meredith Marks, star of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City," reported a remarkably quick recovery from a facelift procedure, stating she was only incapacitated for 48 hours. Marks shared these details while walking the red carpet at the second annual “Virtual Reali-Tea” Awards on Tuesday night.
"I was down for 48 hours, and after that I was pretty much fine," Marks told Page Six. She clarified that her recovery, which took place in February, allowed her to return to activities like DJing approximately two weeks later, estimating it was 12 days post-facelift.
Marks praised her Beverly Hills-based surgeon, Dr. Garo Kassabian, describing him as a "genius." The reality star attended the event in a Balmain gown and was honored with the "Style Icon of the Year" award.
Previously, Marks had spoken openly about her decision to undergo the procedure, telling Marie Claire in September that she "never had any intention of hiding it." She explained her motivation stemmed from a desire to feel lighter and appear more refreshed, stating, "I wanted to lighten and brighten. I was itching to look like a more refreshed version of myself."
According to Marks, the facelift involved a "bespoke face and neck lift using a combination of endoscopic and deeper-plane techniques." She noted that the procedure was subtle enough that some individuals were unaware of it, even requiring her to explicitly inform the "RHOSLC" production team.
Marks attributed her rapid recovery to a combination of factors, including abstaining from alcohol, adhering to an anti-inflammatory diet, and utilizing red light therapy and copper peptides.
This is not Marks' first experience with cosmetic surgery. She has previously undergone three breast reductions due to a medical condition causing uncontrollable breast tissue growth.
