The two couples posed for photographs on the South Portico of the White House before proceeding to the Red Room for tea. On Thursday evening, Melania Trump attended a state dinner for President Xi wearing a monochrome outfit. She opted for a Saint Laurent blouse with a large bow detail, paired with Dolce and Gabbana embossed high-waisted pants and a silk cummerbund. She completed the look with Christian Louboutin heels and diamond stud earrings.
This choice of trousers for a formal event has previously drawn attention. Personal stylist and image consultant Cynthia Kennedy told the Daily Mail that Trump's fashion choices convey a message of independence and a willingness to defy expectations. Kennedy noted that Trump's style is not necessarily modern but strategic, emphasizing that she follows her own rules and designers.
Earlier on the day of the meeting with Xi, Melania Trump attended an arrival ceremony wearing a black Alexander McQueen pencil skirt, a tweed jacket, and Christian Louboutin stilettos. She was seen arriving hand-in-hand with former President Trump.
In a recent interview on Fox Business’s The Big Money Show, Melania Trump discussed spending time with her family. She mentioned that due to busy schedules, she sees her husband and son, Barron, less often than she would like. She also suggested that Barron, a student at New York University, may be content with spending less time with her as he is older.
When asked for advice for mothers juggling demanding schedules, Trump advised scheduling family time in advance. She explained that her husband's late hours and her own busy schedule impact family time, stating that it leads to less family time and some suffering, but emphasized that their work is what matters.
