Melania Trump is expanding her documentary series with two new episodes set to premiere on Amazon Prime on November 20. The follow-up to the January film, also titled MELANIA, will include previously unseen footage filmed by Brett Ratner.
In a newly released trailer, Trump discusses her roles as a mother, wife, and First Lady. "He’s my priority. He will always be my priority," she says, referring to her son, Barron. The first new episode, "Family & Trust," reportedly explores challenges and trust issues within the White House during her time as First Lady. The second episode, "Pride & Honor," focuses on her public service initiatives.
"Everybody wants to be close to power and sometimes could be very dangerous," Trump says in the trailer, also remarking on media coverage: "The media, they want gossip. For me, it’s noise."
Ratner, who directed the original documentary, also helmed the new installments. The original film, which had an estimated production and marketing cost of $75 million, grossed $16.5 million worldwide. Trump reportedly earned at least $10.7 million from the project. Despite the success of the documentary's release, online critics gave the film low ratings, with a 1.6/10 on Prime Video and a 9 percent approval on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics had suggested the Amazon deal was an attempt to curry favor with the Trump administration.
