Mel B Finds Joy in LA with Morning Hike Amidst 'America's Got Talent' Filming
The Spice Girls member enjoyed a sun-drenched hike with her husband, highlighting her return to LA for her judging role.
Mel B, 51, embraced the Los Angeles sunshine with an energetic morning hike alongside her husband, Rory McPhee, 38. The singer, known as Scary Spice, was seen dancing down a trail in a bright pink bikini, preparing for her role as a judge on the new season of America's Got Talent.
Mel B, who has been in the U.S. for the past month filming the show, shared a video on Instagram of her hike, stating she was getting "show ready." Her husband, a hairdresser, has joined her in the States. The couple, along with Mel B's three children – Phoenix, 27, Angel, 19, and Madison, 14 – now reside in Yorkshire, England. Last year, Mel B purchased a £2.2 million property in Yorkshire.
Reflecting on her life journey, Mel B has spoken about coming full circle. She grew up in Leeds before achieving international fame with the Spice Girls. She later relocated to the U.S., had a relationship with actor Eddie Murphy, with whom she has a daughter, Angel, and then married film producer Stephen Belafonte. Their marriage ended in a contentious divorce, leading to the sale of their Hollywood Hills home. Despite significant career earnings, Mel B experienced financial difficulties following the divorce and custody battles, revealing she was left with just £700 at one point. She has since described her new life as her "second act" and expressed happiness after marrying McPhee in July of the previous year.
Mel B has been renovating her Yorkshire property, which she bought last year. The estate, set on 11 acres, was formerly a farmhouse and barn that had been converted into a substantial country residence. The property includes five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a one-bedroom annex, a detached office, a double garage, and views across hills and a reservoir. She has shared her enjoyment of country life, including tending to her animals and spending time with her family, stating that returning to her Yorkshire roots was one of the best decisions she has made.
