Political commentator Megyn Kelly has released a new documentary episode titled 'Fight for Female' as part of her YouTube series, 'The Megyn Kelly Show,' addressing the inclusion of transgender athletes in women's sports. The episode focuses on the increasing prominence of transgender athletes and Kelly's evolving views on the issue.

Kelly stated in a trailer for the documentary that she regrets not taking seriously concerns raised in 2011 by Dr. Keith Ablow regarding transgender celebrity Chaz Bono's appearance on 'Dancing With the Stars.' She also expressed that the issue of transgender athletes is one "that we can not be silent on" and warned that "Our children are literally being sterilized."

The documentary follows recent debates in the sports world, particularly in the WNBA, sparked by Indiana Fever player Sophie Cunningham. Cunningham advocated for restrictions in women's sports to "protect young girls" from "biological men." Kelly publicly criticized Caitlin Clark, another Indiana Fever player, for not speaking out in support of Cunningham's position, calling Clark a "coward."

This public exchange led to a dispute between Kelly and Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who defended Clark's decision not to engage in the debate. Portnoy called Kelly an "absolute moron" for labeling Clark a "coward," asserting that athletes should not be pressured to become "political talking points" and that Clark "just wants to play ball."

Kelly responded to Portnoy by questioning his stance on the issue and highlighting statistics on transgender athletes at the high school level, citing UCLA Law estimates of over 120,000 trans athletes. She argued that even one instance of a negative outcome for a cisgender female athlete would be unacceptable.

The 'Fight for Female' episode is scheduled to be released on Thursday at 12 p.m. EST. The documentary trailer has featured various high-profile incidents involving transgender athletes, including swimmer Lia Thomas. Kelly's campaign against transgender athletes in women's sports has gained further attention through this documentary and her public commentary.
