Meghan Markle Shares Glimpses of Country Life and Philanthropic Efforts
The Duchess of Sussex posted photos and videos on social media highlighting her new life in the English countryside and her collaborations with charitable organizations.
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, recently shared a series of social media posts offering insights into her life in the English countryside and her ongoing philanthropic work. The posts coincided with the International Day of the Girl.
One of the featured items was a special edition cream and chocolate-brown sweatshirt designed in collaboration with Moms Offering More (MOM), a charity supporting single mothers. The sweatshirt, priced at $100, briefly sold out online. Meghan posted images of herself modeling the garment, styled with her hair in an updo, and also shared a video of her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, enjoying outdoor activities.
In the posts, Meghan displayed several personal accessories. She was seen wearing an Oura Ring Five by Logan Hollowell, a fitness tracker that monitors vital signs, sleep quality, and stress levels, retailing for approximately $2,203. She also wore a Logan Hollowell Lovers Duet Diamond and Emerald Chain Necklace, valued at $16,207, which she had previously worn during a meeting with Malala Yousafzai.
The images of her children showed Archie and Lilibet riding scooters down a country lane, with one report suggesting they might have been on their way to school in the Midlands. Lilibet's pink backpack was noted as a larger departure from her previous accessories, while Archie was seen on a scooter and their dog, Pula, trailed behind. The video also captured a moment where a herd of deer galloped across their path.
This sharing of family life follows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's move to the Cotswolds six years after stepping down from their roles as working royals. Since returning to the UK, Meghan has shared occasional glimpses of their family's activities, including a montage of her children enjoying autumn, splashing in puddles, and riding bicycles.
Meghan's collaborations extend to her Archewell Philanthropies initiative. In addition to the MOM partnership, she announced that net profits from her As Ever teas and jams would be donated to the Malala Fund for one day, coinciding with International Day of the Girl. This initiative supports the Malala Fund's mission to ensure every girl has access to free, safe, and quality education. Meghan and Malala Yousafzai, an advocate for girls' education, have a history of collaboration, dating back to a virtual discussion in October 2020.
The Duchess and Yousafzai met for afternoon tea at Claridge's in London, an appearance that marked Meghan's first public engagement in the capital since Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022. Their joint statement emphasized the importance of supporting girls to empower future women, stating, "When we support the girls of today, we empower the women of tomorrow. Access to education is the key to unlocking this."
