Meghan Markle Shares Glimpse of Children's English Countryside Life

Meghan Markle recently shared a video clip of her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, encountering a herd of deer while exploring the English countryside. The Duchess of Sussex posted the 20-second video on her Instagram account on Sunday, showing the two children riding scooters.

Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, were seen wearing matching backpacks for the outing, accompanied by their black Labrador, Pula. The clip captures the moment the children stopped to watch a herd of deer gallop across their path. The song "I Got Sunshine" by The Temptations plays in the background, with Pula seen running alongside Meghan towards the children.

The Sussex family relocated to the Cotswolds in August, six years after stepping down from royal duties and moving to the United States. They have reportedly received a warm welcome from their new neighbors. After an initial setback with a private school due to traffic, the children are now attending a new school in the Midlands. The family will retain their home in Montecito, California, and a holiday property in Portugal.

This is not the first time Meghan has shared glimpses of her children's life in the UK. Previous posts have shown Archie and Lilibet enjoying autumn activities, including splashing in puddles and warming themselves by an open fire. A montage shared last month featured Lilibet riding a bicycle and the family in a rowboat on a lake with Pula nearby.

Earlier posts also included family snapshots celebrating Prince Harry's 42nd birthday, with images of him kissing Lilibet, carrying her bicycle, and driving a quad bike with both children and their dog. The couple themselves were recently seen having lunch at a local pub, The Falkland Arms, a short distance from Soho Farmhouse. Meghan also had a lunch outing with Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia at The Three Horseshoes.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are scheduled to make their first joint appearance in the UK since their return in Nottingham on Thursday. They plan to visit three charities: the Community Recording Studio, where Meghan may participate in an acting workshop; the Himmah food bank with the Hubb Community Kitchen; and Epic Partners, an organization providing sports mentoring for children.

Meghan has also been actively involved with her brand, As Ever. The brand announced that 100% of net profits from its teas and jams would be donated to the Malala Fund for International Day of the Girl. This initiative followed a public meeting and embrace with Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai outside Claridge's in London, marking what is believed to be Meghan's first public appearance in the capital since Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in September 2022.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry was reportedly booed at a Premiership rugby match between Leicester Tigers and Gloucester. Harry, who served as patron of the Rugby Football Union from 2016 to 2021, attended the match with his cousin George McCorquodale and the Tigers' chief executive. This event occurs amidst the Sussexes' ongoing efforts to secure taxpayer-funded police protection in Britain, a matter currently under review by the committee overseeing royal and VIP security, Ravec, as the couple and their children are now full-time residents.
