Meghan Markle's Return to the Royal Fold: A Welcome Sight, Say Commentators
Columnist Bryony Gordon suggests the Duchess of Sussex brings a much-needed element to the Royal Family.
The recent return of Meghan Markle to public appearances, including a lunch in London, has been met with commentary suggesting her presence brings a valuable, and perhaps missing, element to the British Royal Family. Columnist Bryony Gordon expressed that despite imperfections, Markle's return has proven she contributes something significant.
"Thank heavens Meghan is back," Gordon wrote, noting that her presence offers something that has been absent in recent years. Gordon suggests that other members of the Royal Family could learn from Markle's impact.
Photographs emerged of the Duchess having lunch with her wedding reception hair stylist in London. For this outing, she wore an £85 tuxedo jacket from Marks & Spencer. Previously, Markle had appeared with Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai for afternoon tea at Claridge's and was seen in Nottingham for public engagements with Prince Harry, marking her return to such events since the couple relocated from the UK in early 2020.
