Meghan Markle’s inner circle believes that an investigation into her father, Thomas Markle’s, alleged possession of child pornography will help the public understand the Duchess of Sussex’s decision to distance herself from him. Thomas Markle, 82, is reportedly under investigation for having "hundreds, if not thousands" of child sex abuse images.
A source close to Meghan told The Sun, "Now maybe people will finally understand why she has had nothing to do with her father since 2018." The report indicated that Thomas Markle Jr., Meghan's half-brother, alerted authorities after discovering the alleged materials in boxes at their father's home in the Philippines.
Authorities are reportedly preparing to seize the alleged evidence. Representatives for Thomas Markle Sr., Thomas Markle Jr., Meghan, and Prince Harry did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Page Six.
