Ari Emanuel, the former agent of Meghan Markle, has voiced his sentiment that it is a relief not to be involved in managing the Duchess of Sussex's career any longer. In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Emanuel, who is the executive chairman of the entertainment and media agency WME Group, confirmed that he parted ways with Markle last year. When asked about the future of her career, he responded, "Here's the great thing: I don't have to think about that any more."

Markle initially signed with WME in April 2023. However, reports emerged in February 2025 that the agency had dropped her. At the time, WME issued a statement denying the claims, asserting that the agency continued to represent Markle and her company, Archewell. Despite this, sources indicated that Markle had not held meetings with Emanuel since January 2024, although she was believed to be in contact with her day-to-day agents.

Sources within the industry suggested that Markle's professional relationship with WME concluded due to her being perceived as "too demanding" and "difficult to work with." Further reports indicated a dispute between Markle and Emanuel in January 2024, stemming from an incident where she allegedly demanded a meeting and expected detailed plans, though it remained unclear if this was for her personal projects or Archewell.

Markle's initial signing with WME was reportedly aimed at establishing her as a significant figure in Hollywood, with insiders suggesting her focus was on producing projects rather than starring in them.
